I’m looking forward to seeing you this Sunday as our worship time returns to 10:30 a.m. We will welcome back our wonderful choir and celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.
At Community Church of Providence we are walking the path of faith together, following Jesus one step at a time. Over the summer our steps have perhaps led us to beaches, picnics, family times, and other fun activities.
I hope you are feeling renewed, as I am!
As we round the bend toward fall, we are invited to deepen our walk on the Christian path. I find it enormously encouraging that this path actually exists — that we are not alone in this world to wander in the dark.
Jesus is the “way, the truth, and the life” — the Good Shepherd who wants to lead us forward, but it’s up to us to follow him. No one follows perfectly, which is good, not bad, news.
This journey isn’t about “getting it right” once and for all. It’s about continually growing and evolving through the best and worst times of our lives as well as everything in between.
What exciting discoveries lie ahead!
How blessed we are to have one another as companions on the path to peace, hope, and love!
With warmth and blessings,
