Christian Education
All children and youth are welcome every Sunday during worship service
In today’s culture, religious education is more important than ever. At Community Church of Providence, we are passionate about nurturing our children’s faith and religious understanding. Our Christian Education program is designed to teach children and youth age-appropriate lessons for understanding the Bible and discovering God’s Love through His Word.
We believe that every child and family is special and we strive to create a welcoming, fun, and stimulating atmosphere for everyone. Being part of a spirited congregation multiplies our joys and divides our sorrows. In this creative environment, children and adults are able to develop their full potential.
We invite you to be a part of a weekly experience of worship, learning, fun, and creativity for the entire family.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”grey”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1434035927747{margin-top: 10px !important;margin-right: 200px !important;margin-left: 200px !important;}”]
Ministries
Children and Youth Ministries are focused on community, connections, and applying God’s Love to our lives. They are separate from Christian Education with their own curriculums and goals. We wish to simulate our younger children through songs, object lessons, and take-home crafts. Older youth read scripture, discuss real-world implications, maintain journals, and have fun with Bible activities. Programs include:
Community Kids for Christ
(4th Grade and Under)
“Don’t let anyone make fun of you because you are young. Set an example for other believers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith and purity” 1 Timothy 4:12
The best way to understand and feel god’s love is to show it. Children learn in age appropriate terms about important issues and use their creative energy to share love and hope. Recent activities include painting a mural representing the Gospel on the classroom wall and raising money for orphans by selling baked goods and crafts.
YouthConnect
(5th Grade and Over)
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11
Older Elementary and Middle School youth are constantly changing and as they change, it’s often hard to keep up with who they are and who they want to become. At YouthConnect, youth will be guided in understanding themselves as people and Christians, and challenged to grow in their faith.
Join us as we grapple with what it means to be a youth, exploring topics from what healthy relationships between friends look like, to how to conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity when our friends may not be.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1434035906065{margin-top: 60px !important;padding-top: 30px !important;padding-right: 200px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;padding-left: 200px !important;background-color: #e8efe3 !important;}”]
Fellowship Activities
Our children and youth work hard, but they play hard too! We believe that encouraging them to build strong social connections is an important part of development. We strive to provide serious FUN and EXCITING activities for children and youth of all ages in which parents can feel confident that their children will be in a safe, Christian environment where they can play and just be kids!
Throughout the year we organize activities and events including block parties, free daycare sessions, movie nights, holiday activities, and group field trips.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
